Dear Dr. Miller,
Here I send out MPC reports from set 36 and 37.
May I have three question?
1. We have not finished the set of 38 and 39. Should we report it later? Or we need report all of them in one time?
2. We are not very sure about the format for PS1. Would you check for us to see the words we type in "Image set"?
3. We find out the MPC report have "TEL" followed by "Astro-Research 0.61 m + CCD". It is so strange that we do get the images set from PS1.

Hi, Lin.
You need to be using PS1.cfg and not ARI-24.cfg. Change your configuration file to the correct telescope.
The Image Set line is perfect. Change to PS1.cfg and you can report on 38 and 39 by the end of the week.

Dear Dr. Gingie,
Here I send out MPC reports example to you .
May I have three question?
1. We have not finished the all sets for downloadign. Should we report then for twice later? Or we need report all of them in one time?
2. We are not very sure about the format for PS1. Would you check for us to see the words we type in "Image set"?

Hi Lin Shi-chao,
1. You don’t need to report them all at once, you can send them in as you finish. Make sure you do a separate MPC for each image set.
2. The image set format was good.
3. The letter head in your example is from the ARI observatory. The Pan-Starrs observatory code should be COD F51 in the first line of the MPC report. I think what happened with the MPC report is that you did not reset the MPC report or restart Astrometrica to clear out the MPC report from the practice sets. If you are doing more than one image set in a session you need to reset the MPC report after you have copied and pasted the report into notepad and processed it completely. You can reset the MPC report by going to File and then to reset files to clear the report and then start a new image set. You can also restart Astrometrica and when it tells you a “ MPC report exists do you want to delete it” you can delete it then.
Let me know if this helps. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Hello Lin,
I will try to answer your questions in the same order you asked them.
1. You do not have to send in all the image report sets at one time. You can send what you have and send the others later.
2 & 3. The report looks okay so far. If you did not find any asteroids, then type in no moving objects detected under the file name for your image set. If you did want to report possible finds, copy and paste the data from the report (file, view mpc report). The header/top of the report looks fine. Don't change any information except on the MEA line which you have already done.
Let me know if I can help again or if my answers were not what you needed.
